How It All Started – 

Tru Tidy was founded in the heart of Chicago by two friends who were tired of seeing the same problem over and over again:

People with busy lives, big responsibilities, and high standards — all stuck with cleaning services that were inconsistent, unreliable, and outdated.

One of us had just moved out of a Lakeview apartment and lost part of a security deposit over a missed oven. The other had hired three different cleaning companies in six months and still couldn’t find one that showed up on time, cleaned thoroughly, and followed instructions.

So, we stopped looking — and built what we were looking for instead.

We started Tru Tidy with a single goal:
Bring professionalism, reliability, and modern convenience to the cleaning industry.

From day one, we knew we didn’t want to be another “gig app” with rotating cleaners or inconsistent service. We wanted to build a team that felt like pros — trained, vetted, and committed to treating people’s homes with real care.

Our first clients were renters moving out of small Chicago walk-ups. Then came busy moms in Lincoln Park, professionals in the Loop, and even real estate agents prepping properties on short notice. Word spread fast — not just because we cleaned well, but because we followed through. Every time.
